Desired Profile
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Spare parts management, with a minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role with any leading automobile dealership.
- Must be a graduate or diploma holder.
- Age above 35 years is preferred.
- Ability to build high-performing teams.
- Familiarity with modern business practice and digital orientation.
- Customer centricity and quality orientation.
- Familiarity with Commercial Segment Vehicles will be an added advantage.
What you will do:
- Inventory & Stock Control: Manage stock levels of high-value commercial vehicle assemblies, fast-moving service consumables and slow-moving parts to prevent vehicle downtime while reducing obsolescence.
- Supply Chain & Procurement: Forecast seasonal demand, place periodic indents with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), and manage emergency local sourcing for urgent breakdown repairs.
- Cross-Departmental Coordination: Collaborate closely with the Service Manager, workshop foremen, and mobile repair units to guarantee rapid parts availability for routine maintenance and accident repairs.
- Team Leadership: Supervise counter sales executives, storekeepers, and inventory assistants, handling staff scheduling, training on Dealer Management Systems (DMS), and performance evaluations.
- Financial Management: Track profit margins, monitor dead stock liquidation, oversee warranty part returns for factory credits, and reconcile physical inventory with accounts finance.
- To conduct refresher training and update with latest technology changes.
- Drive innovative customer satisfaction /retention programs to deliver greater Customer Delight Index.
- Lead the implementation of any new initiatives required to improve dealerships' operations and customer experience.
- Drive periodic spare process audits to assess service quality in the units and initiate improvement actions as required.
- Desired candidate to be flexible to travel on requirements.
