Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and technically skilled Floor Controller to manage day-to-day workshop floor operations and ensure efficient allocation of jobs to technicians based on their skills and availability. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining workflow, monitoring work time, coordinating with Service Advisors (SA), Quality Control (QC), and the Parts Department, and ensuring adherence to established processes and SOPs.
Key Responsibilities
- Allocate jobs to technicians and manage daily floor scheduling.
- Explain technical bulletins and relevant technical information to technicians.
- Raise requisitions for required parts and consumables.
- Monitor work time and ensure adherence to planned timelines.
- Focus on identifying and reducing repeat repair Repair Orders (ROs).
- Proactively communicate work-time and cost changes to Service Advisors.
- Monitor and return unused spare parts to the spare store.
- Maintain proper housekeeping and discipline on the workshop floor.
- Ensure compliance with RQ, PQ, and SOP requirements.
- Monitor equipment and tools and ensure timely calibration.
- Maintain and update workshop floor visual displays.
- Ensure warranty parts are properly tagged and handed over to the Warranty Executive.
- Drive coordination between technicians, SA, QC, and parts teams.
- Support Kaizen initiatives for continuous improvement on the shop floor.
- Maintain proper usage of DMS and diagnostic tools.
Education & Experience
Qualification: Degree/Diploma in Engineering or ITI, along with relevant automobile training/certification.
Experience: Minimum 3 years of hands-on technical or shop-floor experience in the automobile industry.
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
