Recruitment will be on a contract basis.
Consolidated salary: Rs. 50,000/- per month
Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in English Language and Literature, including MA English programmes, basket courses, and minor/elective courses as assigned by the department.
Prepare lesson plans, course materials, presentations, and instructional resources aligned with curriculum and academic standards.
Innovative and learner-centred teaching methodologies, including blended learning, ICT-enabled instruction, seminars, tutorials, and experiential learning practices.
Guide students in academic writing, communication skills, literary analysis, and research-oriented learning.
Mentor students for academic growth, career guidance, competitive examinations, and higher education opportunities.
Participate actively in syllabus design, curriculum revision.
Contribute to departmental academic planning, timetable preparation, and outcome-based education initiatives.
Organize and coordinate guest lectures, workshops, literary activities, seminars, conferences, and language enhancement programmes.
Undertake paper setting, invigilation, evaluation, and assessment work related examinations.
Prepare question papers, model answers, assessment and maintain transparency and confidentiality in examination procedures.
Evaluate assignments, projects, presentations, and dissertations as per institutional norms.
Maintain academic records, attendance and continuous assessment reports.
Engage in research activities, publications, faculty development programmes, and academic collaborations.
Encourage students to participate in research projects, literary forums, and scholarly activities.
Contributing and presenting papers in conferences/journals, and support the institution’s research culture.
Plan and coordinate literary, cultural, language, and extra-curricular activities for holistic student development.
Support school events such as debates, drama, creative writing competitions, language clubs, cultural festivals, and extension activities.
Efficiently handle responsibilities related to departmental and institutional committees as allotted by the HOI/Director.
Participate in required documentation of various activities.
Assist in admission processes.
Work collaboratively with faculty members and administrative staff for the smooth functioning of the institution.
Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
