Job Description
The Salesforce Lead / Principal Developer is responsible for leading the design, architecture, development, testing, enhancement, deployment, governance, and production support of Salesforce applications across Service Cloud, Sales Cloud, Communities, CPQ, and integrated enterprise platforms. This role partners closely with business stakeholders, architects, and engineering teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-quality Salesforce solutions while providing technical leadership and mentorship across the Salesforce ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- Lead architecture and solution design discussions across Salesforce initiatives.
- Translate business requirements into scalable and maintainable technical solutions.
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and support Salesforce solutions across Service Cloud, Sales Cloud, Communities, and integrated third-party applications.
- Build customized solutions using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components (Aura/LWC), and Salesforce configuration.
- Provide architectural guidance and technical leadership to development teams.
- Conduct code reviews and enforce Salesforce development standards and best practices.
- Lead SDLC governance, release planning, deployment strategy, and production readiness reviews.
- Design enterprise integrations using REST, SOAP, Platform Events, Middleware, and event-driven architecture patterns.
- Mentor Salesforce developers and administrators.
- Drive platform modernization, technical debt reduction, and performance optimization initiatives.
- Lead root cause analysis and resolution of critical production incidents.
- Collaborate with business leaders, product owners, architects, and delivery teams to define Salesforce strategy and roadmap.
- Develop and manage processes to continuously monitor data quality, integrity, and governance.
- Define and maintain coding standards, architecture principles, and technical documentation.
- Participate in the full application lifecycle, including design, development, testing, deployment, integrations, and production support.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MCA, MIS, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 8–12+ years of Salesforce platform experience with proven technical leadership.
- Strong expertise in Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Salesforce architecture.
- Extensive experience with REST/SOAP APIs, enterprise integrations, and middleware platforms.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce security model, governor limits, and platform optimization.
- Experience with Salesforce DevOps, source control, CI/CD pipelines, and release management.
- Experience working with Large Data Volumes (LDV), data migration, and data governance.
- Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, and enterprise SDLC methodologies.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
- Strong planning, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
