Job Summary
Yapsody India Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant / Bookkeeper – US
Accounts to support accounting and bookkeeping operations for our US-based businesses. This
role will work under the supervision of the Accounting & Bookkeeping Lead and will be
responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, performing reconciliations, supporting
month-end close activities, and handling balance-sheet-intensive accounting processes.
The ideal candidate will possess strong accrual accounting knowledge, experience with US
accounting practices, and the ability to manage complex reconciliations and financial schedules
with accuracy and consistency.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform bank account reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of reconciling items.
- Perform credit card processing reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
- Maintain and reconcile balance sheet schedules and supporting documentation.
- Record, review, and reconcile property management statements and related transactions.
- Maintain accrual accounting records, including accrued expenses, deferred revenue, and
settlement liabilities.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes.
- Perform transaction cleanup, account analysis, and ledger maintenance.
- Assist with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) activities.
- Maintain accurate general ledger records and supporting schedules.
- Assist with intercompany accounting and reconciliation activities.
- Support financial reporting, reconciliations, and audit requests.
- Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and established controls.
- Coordinate with internal teams to resolve accounting discrepancies and maintain accurate
financial records.
Qualifications
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, B.Com, M.Com, or a related field.
Required Experience
- Strong accrual accounting experience.
- Experience performing bank reconciliations.
- Experience with credit card processing reconciliations.
- Experience maintaining balance sheet accounts, including loans, accrued liabilities, intercompany
balances, deferred/unearned revenue, and settlement liabilities.
- Experience managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
- Experience supporting month-end close processes.
- QuickBooks experience, preferably QuickBooks Desktop.
- Experience working with US accounting and bookkeeping functions.

This position requires strong accrual accounting knowledge and experience as it involves revenue
recognition timing, deferred revenue, accrued expenses, settlement liabilities, pass-through (OPM)
funds, intercompany transactions, and other balance-sheet-intensive accounting matters.
This is not a role where accrual accounting can be learned on the job. Please apply only if you have
strong, recent accrual accounting experience.
Pay: ₹800,000.00 - ₹1,200,000.00 per year
