Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret fabrication drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols.
- Measure, mark, cut, and prepare raw materials according to specifications.
- Perform MIG, TIG, ARC (SMAW), and CO₂ welding as required.
- Assemble and tack components before final welding.
- Operate fabrication equipment such as grinders, cutting machines, drilling machines, and gas-cutting equipment.
- Ensure proper alignment and dimensional accuracy of fabricated parts.
- Inspect completed welds for quality and rectify welding defects when necessary.
- Maintain welding machines, tools, and equipment in good working condition.
- Follow approved Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and quality standards.
- Use appropriate PPE and comply with safety regulations.
- Maintain housekeeping as per 5S standards.
- Support continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives.
- Coordinate with fitters, supervisors, and quality inspectors to complete jobs within planned timelines.
Qualification
- ITI in Welder/Fitter or equivalent vocational qualification.
- Welding certification is preferred.
Experience
- 2–5 years of experience in fabrication and welding.
- Experience in structural steel, sheet metal, or heavy fabrication is preferred.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in MIG, TIG, SMAW, and CO₂ welding.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and welding symbols.
- Knowledge of fabrication processes and measuring instruments.
- Familiarity with welding defects, inspection methods, and quality requirements.
- Ability to operate fabrication tools and material handling equipment.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
