Key Responsibilities:
- Creative Direction:
- Develop and lead the design vision for projects.
- Ensure designs align with the firm’s brand identity and aesthetic standards.
- Introduce innovative and contemporary design concepts.
- Project Oversight:
- Oversee multiple design projects, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
- Conduct design reviews and provide constructive feedback to the team.
- Collaborate with clients to finalize design concepts and address their needs.
- Team Leadership:
- Manage and mentor the design team, including designers, architects, and assistants.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing and skill development within the team.
- Delegate tasks effectively and monitor progress.
- Client Interaction:
- Meet with clients to understand project requirements and preferences.
- Present design proposals and revisions for approval.
- Address client feedback and resolve design-related challenges.
- Resource Coordination:
- Work with procurement teams to select materials, furnishings, and finishes.
- Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure quality control at every stage of the project.
- Market Trends and Innovation:
- Stay updated on industry trends, new materials, and technologies.
- Incorporate sustainable and innovative design practices.
- Strategic Planning:
- Contribute to the firm's long-term growth by enhancing design processes and methodologies.
- Assist in business development by participating in pitches and client meetings.
Required Skills:
- Strong design sensibility and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3ds Max, Adobe Suite).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Leadership and project management abilities.
- Knowledge of materials, construction techniques, and market trends.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in the interior design industry, with 2-3 years in a leadership role.
- A proven portfolio of successful interior design projects.
