Job Summary:
The Senior Manager – IT is responsible for leading the institution's information technology strategy, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and digital transformation initiatives. The role ensures the availability, security, and efficiency of all IT systems while supporting academic, administrative, and operational functions through innovative technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the institution's IT strategy aligned with organizational goals.
- Oversee the management and maintenance of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, internet connectivity, cloud services, and data centers.
- Ensure high availability and performance of all IT systems, applications, and digital learning platforms.
- Lead cybersecurity initiatives, including data protection, access control, endpoint security, and disaster recovery planning.
- Manage the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of ERP, School Management Systems (SMS), HRMS, LMS, and other enterprise applications.
- Establish IT policies, procedures, and governance frameworks to ensure compliance and operational excellence.
- Plan, manage, and monitor IT budgets, procurement, vendor contracts, and technology investments.
- Lead IT support operations, ensuring timely resolution of user issues through service-level agreements (SLAs).
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend digital transformation initiatives to improve institutional efficiency.
- Collaborate with academic and administrative departments to understand technology requirements and deliver appropriate solutions.
- Oversee software licensing, hardware lifecycle management, and IT asset inventory.
- Ensure regular data backups, business continuity planning, and disaster recovery readiness.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the IT team while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
- Prepare IT performance reports, risk assessments, and technology roadmaps for senior management.
- Perform additional responsibilities assigned by the Management.
Qualification:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Master's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or MBA (IT) is preferred.
- Relevant certifications such as ITIL, Microsoft, Cisco, AWS, Azure, VMware, CEH, CISSP, or PMP will be an added advantage.
Experience:
- 8–12 years of experience in IT infrastructure, systems administration, networking, cybersecurity, or enterprise applications.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience leading IT teams.
- Experience in educational institutions or large service organizations is preferred.
