Role Summary
This is a unique role for a developer who thrives across the entire mobile engineering spectrum. At Sajre Edutech, you will be the core owner of our mobile apps. You will build, maintain, and scale high-performance mobile solutions using both Native tools (Swift/Kotlin) and Cross-Platform frameworks (Flutter/Dart) depending on product requirements.
You won't just be maintaining legacy code; you will drive architectural decisions, ensure feature parity, and deliver smooth UI/UX across iOS and Android.
Key Responsibilities
- Multi-Stack Mobile Development: Design, build, and deploy high-quality mobile applications using Swift, Kotlin, Flutter, and Dart.
- Architecture & Tech Selection: Choose the right approach—Native vs. Flutter—to optimize performance, development velocity, and feature parity across iOS and Android.
- Feature Parity & UI Alignment: Ensure features launch consistently across platforms while adhering to Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines, Google Material Design, and custom Flutter widget libraries.
- Native & Flutter Integration: Build custom Flutter packages or leverage Platform Channels (Method Channels) to connect Flutter UI with native iOS/Android code when deep OS features are required.
- API Management & Offline Access: Seamlessly integrate RESTful APIs and build complex offline-first data synchronization for educational content.
- Full Lifecycle Ownership: Handle the entire release pipeline—from initial architecture and UI development to App Store Connect and Google Play Console deployments.
- Performance Tuning: Optimize app size, memory utilization, frame rate (60/120 FPS), and battery consumption across budget Android tablets and high-end iPhones.
Core Requirements (The Multi-Stack Skill Set)
1. Flutter & Dart Expertise
- Strong proficiency in Dart and the Flutter SDK.
- Proven experience with state management solutions (e.g., Bloc, Provider, Riverpod).
- Hands-on experience writing Platform Channels to bridge native Swift/Kotlin features into Flutter.
2. Native iOS Expertise
- Proficiency in Swift and Xcode.
- Experience with UIKit and SwiftUI.
- Knowledge of iOS dependency managers (CocoaPods, Swift Package Manager) and deployment via App Store Connect.
3. Native Android Expertise
- Proficiency in Kotlin (and familiarity with Java).
- Experience with Android SDK and Android Studio.
- Hands-on experience with Jetpack Components (ViewModel, LiveData, Room, Navigation) and managing device fragmentation.
4. General Mobile Engineering
- 0-2 years of professional experience shipping live mobile apps.
- Mastery of local database/storage solutions (SQLite, Room, Core Data, Hive).
- Strong mastery of Git and experience setting up mobile CI/CD pipelines.
Bonus Skills (Plus Points)
- Experience with KMP (Kotlin Multiplatform) for cross-platform logic sharing.
- Background in EdTech platforms: Video encryption, offline DRM, streaming protocols (HLS/DASH), or interactive canvas-based quizzes.
- Hands-on experience with Firebase (Push Notifications, Remote Config, Analytics, Crashlytics).
