South Indian Commi 1 – Job Description
We are looking for a skilled and hardworking South Indian Commi 1 to join our kitchen team. The candidate should have good experience in preparing authentic South Indian food and be able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare South Indian dishes such as dosa, idli, vada, sambhar, chutneys, uttapam, and other breakfast items
- Assist senior chefs in daily kitchen operations
- Maintain food quality, taste, and presentation standards
- Ensure cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen at all times
- Follow recipes and portion standards properly
- Help with food preparation, cutting, and stock management
- Ensure proper storage of ingredients and kitchen items
- Work efficiently during busy service hours
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a South Indian Commi 1 or similar role
- Good knowledge of South Indian cuisine and preparation techniques
- Ability to work in a team and under pressure
- Basic understanding of kitchen hygiene and food safety
- Hardworking, punctual, and disciplined
- Able to work flexible shifts, weekends, and holidays if required
