Key Responsibilities
Quality Control Activities
- Conduct inspection and testing of mechanical materials, components, and systems.
- Verify dimensions, tolerances, and specifications as per drawings and standards.
- Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections.
- Identify defects and ensure proper corrective actions.
Quality Assurance Functions
- Develop, implement, and maintain QA/QC procedures and standards.
- Ensure compliance with ISO standards, company policies, and industry regulations.
- Prepare inspection test plans (ITP), quality plans, and checklists.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain inspection reports, quality records, and test certificates.
- Generate NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) and track corrective/preventive actions.
- Prepare quality reports for management and clients.
Process Improvement
- Analyze quality issues and recommend process improvements.
- Participate in root cause analysis using tools like 5 Why, Fishbone Diagram, etc.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen, Lean practices).
Vendor & Supplier Quality
- Perform vendor inspections and audits.
- Evaluate supplier quality performance and ensure compliance.
- Coordinate with procurement and vendors for quality requirements.
Client & Internal Coordination
- Coordinate with production, design, and project teams for quality requirements.
- Handle client inspections and third-party audits.
- Address customer complaints and ensure timely resolution.
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure all activities comply with safety standards and regulations.
- Adhere to industry codes (ASME, ASTM, ISO, etc.).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 3 years of experience in quality control/assurance in mechanical, manufacturing, or construction industries.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of mechanical drawings, GD&T, and inspection techniques.
- Familiarity with quality standards such as ISO 9001.
- Hands-on experience with inspection tools (vernier caliper, micrometer, gauges, etc.).
- Good understanding of welding inspection (if applicable).
- Proficiency in MS Excel, reporting tools, and documentation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and attention to detail.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
