THE ROLE
The Logistics supports day-to-day banking, dispatch, delivery, store-room, procurement and administrative coordination. The role ensures the safe and timely movement of cash, documents, jewellery-related items, materials and supplies while maintaining accurate records and following company security and approval procedures.
WHAT YOU WILL DO1. Courier, Dispatch & Inventory Records
- Pack and dispatch e-commerce orders and daily courier shipments through Blue Dart, India Post and other approved service providers.
- Maintain the logistics register for incoming and outgoing couriers and obtain proper acknowledgement.
- Record inward jewellery entries in Spark software and maintain daily inward and outward stock reports in Excel.
- Ensure shipments to showrooms and vendors are correctly packed, documented, tracked and handed over.
2. Product, Item & Cash Movement
- Manage authorised customer-item deliveries and pickups within Kochi and, when required, across Kerala.
- Handle inter-showroom deliveries and urgent movements, including occasional work on Sundays or holidays.
- Deliver and collect hallmark items, refined gold bars and test pieces from approved vendors such as CGR Metalloys.
- Carry out authorised cash or document deliveries, including periodic visits to Kolanchery, while following security and acknowledgement procedures.
3. Store Room & Internal Support
- Receive, sort, arrange and store incoming materials in the designated racks and storage areas.
- Pack and dispatch packing-material boxes, uniforms, finance documents and other supplies based on showroom or department requirements.
- Maintain orderly storage, coordinate housekeeping support and resolve routine store-room issues.
- Monitor essential supplies such as water cans, tissue and hand wash, and coordinate cleanliness requirements for office areas and restrooms.
4. Banking & External Coordination
- Carry out daily bank visits for cash deposits, cheque deposits and other authorised banking activities.
- Coordinate visits to the Corporation Office, Village Office, Akshaya Centres and other government or external offices as required.
- Handle Professional Tax payments, stamp-paper purchases, digital-signature collection and authorised document submission or collection.
- Coordinate with Paulson & Company, the Company Secretary’s Office and other approved consultants or service providers.
5. Procurement & Maintenance Support
- Purchase stationery, housekeeping materials and other approved office requirements.
- Arrange generator diesel, company-bike fuel, IPA, Argon gas and other authorised production or maintenance supplies.
- Support pest-control activities and coordinate routine facility or supply requirements across floors.
6. Executive & Administrative Support
- Coordinate approved meal or refreshment collection for the CMD and Directors.
- Support official errands and additional assignments given by the CMD, Directors or reporting manager.
- Maintain confidentiality and proper handover while handling cash, jewellery-related items, documents and sensitive materials.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Qualification: Plus Two / Diploma / Graduate in any discipline; logistics or supply-chain qualification preferred.
- Experience: 3–6 years in logistics, dispatch, office administration, courier operations or field coordination preferred.
- Knowledge: Basic Excel and computer knowledge; courier and dispatch documentation; stock records; banking and local field coordination.
- Mobility: Comfortable with frequent local travel and occasional travel across Kerala; valid two-wheeler driving licence preferred.
- Availability: Flexible to support urgent work, including occasional Sundays or holidays, when business requirements demand.
- Trust & Security: Ability to handle cash, jewellery-related items, confidential documents and company assets responsibly.
