Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Lathe Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate should have a Diploma from a Polytechnic (Mechanical or related field) or relevant experience in operating conventional lathe machines. The candidate should be able to produce quality components according to drawings and maintain safety and productivity standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate conventional lathe machines to manufacture components as per specifications.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical instructions.
- Set up tools, fixtures, and machine parameters before machining.
- Measure finished components using vernier calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
- Maintain dimensional accuracy and quality standards.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and keep the work area clean.
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
- Report machine issues or quality concerns to the supervisor.
Qualifications
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a Polytechnic (Preferred).
- ITI (Turner/Machinist) candidates with relevant experience may also apply.
- Freshers from Polytechnic are welcome to apply.
- Experience in operating conventional lathe machines is an added advantage.
Required Skills
- Basic knowledge of lathe machine operations.
- Ability to read engineering drawings.
