About the Role
We are looking for a trained and accredited Fumigation Operator to join our team in Navi Mumbai. The candidate will be responsible for carrying out fumigation treatments for export/import containers, warehouses, cargo and other commodities in accordance with applicable safety procedures, regulatory requirements and approved fumigation practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct Methyl Bromide (MB) and Aluminium Phosphide (ALP) fumigation as per approved dosage, exposure period and treatment requirements.
- Carry out fumigation of export/import containers, warehouses, stacks, cargo and commodities.
- Ensure proper sealing, gas application, monitoring, ventilation and gas clearance after treatment.
- Accurately calculate fumigation dosage, enclosure volume and exposure time.
- Monitor fumigation conditions and maintain proper treatment records.
- Prepare and maintain fumigation reports, treatment records and related documentation.
- Follow ISPM-15, NSPM requirements and applicable Plant Quarantine/DAFF requirements wherever applicable.
- Ensure all fumigation activities are carried out strictly as per safety procedures and company SOPs.
- Coordinate with clients, warehouse staff, shipping agents and internal teams during fumigation operations.
- Inspect treated areas and ensure proper sealing and leakage control before fumigation.
- Use fumigation equipment, gas monitoring instruments and PPE correctly.
- Travel to JNPT, Nhava Sheva, warehouses, CFSs and client locations in and around Navi Mumbai as required.
- Report any operational, safety or technical issues to the supervisor/management.
Eligibility & Qualifications
- Graduate in Agriculture or Science, preferably with Chemistry as a subject, from a recognized university.
- Must have completed recognized training in fumigation, prophylaxis and pest management for stored products.
- Accredited/authorized fumigation operator with relevant certification/licence will be preferred.
- Practical experience in Methyl Bromide and/or Aluminium Phosphide fumigation will be an advantage.
- Knowledge of export fumigation procedures and phytosanitary requirements will be preferred.
- Basic computer knowledge for maintaining reports and records.

- Ability to work at warehouses, CFSs, ports and outdoor locations.
- Willingness to travel locally for fumigation assignments.

- Ability to work independently as well as with a team.
- Strong focus on safety, accuracy and compliance.
Additional Requirements
- Valid Two-Wheeler Driving Licence preferred.
- Candidates residing in Navi Mumbai, Vashi, Panvel, Uran, Taloja, Kalamboli or nearby areas will be preferred.
- Candidates must be comfortable working in shifts or as per fumigation schedules, including early morning or late-night operations when required.
