Role Overview:
Housed within the Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) Practice, the Risk Advisory Services Practice (RAS or Risk) provides expert services to our banking clients to help resolve their most pressing risk or regulatory related matters. The Risk team provides solutions to financial institutions such as model risk management (model development and validation), stress testing and scenario analysis, credit review services, which includes rigorous portfolio/loan reviews, as well as other risk-related services. In many of our engagements, our work is quantitative in nature thereby requiring a mathematical aptitude, coding experience, statistical analysis, and banking industry knowledge. Our team members typically have academic credentials in finance, economics, and/or econometrics.

Responsibilities
Managers work as part of a project team, performing critical, value-added work to assist the team in preparing the ‘deliverable’ to the client.
may include developing financial models in Excel or R Studio, performing various testing exercises on models, such as backtesting, sensitivity analysis, stress testing and other required tests.
Our team often builds bespoke models for internal or client use; as such you may be asked to assist in model development, model deconstructing and/or model replication.
may also include developing various databases to store and aggregate certain information and ensuring project teams perform the highest quality work in the creation of client deliverables.
Requirements:

Master's degree in economics, finance, or business from an accredited institution

MBA in Finance/MS/B.Sc. Statistics /M.Sc. Statistics. Risk management or finance certification (FRM, PRM, CFA) preferred

5-7 years of experience in:

Programming in R Studio/Python
-
proficiency in SAS or other statistical software packages

Programming in other computer languages (desired but not required)

Financial modeling using spreadsheets or databases

Proficiency in Excel

Use of large-scale relational databases (e.g., SQL, Oracle)

Interpretation and critical analysis of corporate/banking financial statements

Effective oral and written communication skills

Collaborative team player

Ability to support multiple projects and meet deadlines
