ROLE SUMMARY
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Accountant with hands-on storekeeping experience to join our Finance & Operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting functions while simultaneously overseeing inventory and store operations, ensuring accurate financial records and smooth stock management.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Accounting & Finance
- Maintain accurate books of accounts including ledgers, journals, and financial statements
- Process accounts payable and receivable; manage invoices and payments
- Perform bank reconciliations and monthly closing of accounts
- Prepare and file GST, TDS, and other statutory returns in compliance with applicable laws
- Assist in preparation of budgets, financial reports, and MIS statements
- Coordinate with auditors and support internal and external audit processes
- Monitor cash flow, petty cash management, and expense tracking
Store Keeping & Inventory Management
- Receive, inspect, and record all incoming goods and materials against purchase orders
- Maintain accurate stock records including bin cards, stock registers, and inventory software
- Conduct regular stock audits and physical verification to reconcile discrepancies
- Coordinate with procurement and operations teams for timely replenishment of stock
- Ensure proper storage, labelling, and safe custody of materials in the store
- Process material issue notes, goods receipts, and delivery challans
- Track expiry, obsolescence, and damaged goods; prepare reports for management
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com) or equivalent
- CA Inter / ICWA (CMA) Inter preferred but not mandatory
Experience
- Minimum 2–4 years of combined experience in accounting and store keeping
- Prior experience in a manufacturing, trading, or similar industry is an advantage
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Tally ERP / Prime, SAP, or equivalent
- Working knowledge of MS Office — Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and ERP platforms
- Sound understanding of GST, TDS, and other Indian taxation norms
