Key Responsibilities
- Conduct legal research on intellectual property laws, including:
- Patents
- Trademarks
- Copyrights
- Trade secrets
- Design rights
- Research and analyze:
- Court judgments and case law
- Statutes and regulations
- Legal precedents
- Patent office decisions and administrative rulings
- Perform patent and prior art searches to assess patent validity and infringement issues.
- Review patents, patent applications, technical documents, and product specifications.
- Assist attorneys in preparing:
- Legal memoranda
- Case summaries
- Litigation strategies
- Claim charts
- Evidence and exhibits
- Analyze infringement and invalidity arguments using legal and technical documentation.
- Monitor developments in intellectual property law and provide updates to the legal team.
- Support document review and discovery by organizing and analyzing case-related materials.
- Prepare research reports and presentations summarizing legal findings and technical analyses.
- Coordinate with patent agents, technical experts, inventors, and external counsel when required.
- Maintain databases of legal authorities, patents, and litigation documents.
Required Skills
- 3-5 years experience of intellectual property laws and litigation procedures.
- Ability to interpret patents and technical documents.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
- Excellent legal writing and documentation skills.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal research software.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Law (LL.B.) or LL.M. in Intellectual Property Law.
- Technical background (Engineering, Biotechnology, Computer Science, Electronics, etc.) is often preferred for patent litigation.
- Prior experience in IP litigation, patent research, or legal research is advantageous.
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
