Key Responsibilities
- Cleaning & Decontamination: Remove cylinders from presses and use chemical solvents or automated washing systems to thoroughly clean ink, adhesive, and varnish off the cylinder surface and shafts.
- Inspection & Quality Control: Carefully examine cylinders for scratches, dents, corrosion, or lingering residue that could compromise future print quality.
- Cylinder Handling & Storage: Safely hoist, mount, and dismount heavy cylinders into storage racks or onto press units, ensuring they are properly protected.
- Machine Operation: Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot automated cylinder cleaning machinery (like multi-cylinder washers) to ensure peak operational efficiency.
- Safety & Compliance: Adhere strictly to hazardous material guidelines, wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE), and safely dispose of chemical waste.
- Record Keeping: Log which cylinders have been cleaned, maintenance performed, and report any damaged equipment to shift supervisors.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Vocational or technical training in graphic arts or printing production is highly desirable.
- Experience: 2–3 years working directly in a printing, packaging, or heavy industrial manufacturing environment.
- Physical Fitness: Capable of heavy lifting, bending, and standing for long periods, as well as maneuvering heavy printing equipment.
- Mechanical Aptitude: Ability to use hand tools and understand basic mechanical and automated cleaning processes.
Pay: ₹16,000.00 - ₹28,000.00 per month
