The Senior Ops Staff is responsible for executing and supporting day-to-day operational activities across Blue Dart's Service Centres, Hubs, Warehouses and Processing Units while ensuring high standards of shipment accuracy, operational productivity and service quality.
In addition to performing operational processing activities, the role supports Shift In-charges by assisting in work allocation, coaching newly inducted employees, handling operational exceptions and ensuring adherence to Blue Dart's Standard Operating Procedures. The incumbent plays an important role in maintaining operational discipline, supporting service commitments and driving consistent execution across operational workstations.
To ensure efficient shipment processing and operational execution by maintaining high levels of productivity, quality, safety and operational compliance while supporting the Shift In-charge in achieving daily operational objectives and mentoring junior operations team members.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
Operations Execution
- Perform receiving, segregation, sorting, scanning, bagging, tagging and shipment processing activities across operational workstations.
- Support loading and unloading of shipments while ensuring safe material handling practices.
- Ensure accurate shipment routing and prevent operational errors and mis-sorts.
- Perform shipment reconciliation and manifest verification.
- Support operational continuity during peak volumes and contingency situations.
Data Entry & Operational Documentation
- Perform operational data entry and shipment updates using company systems.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of operational transactions.
- Verify shipment labels, manifests and shipment documentation.
- Maintain accurate operational records and report discrepancies immediately.
- Support inventory and shipment reconciliation activities.
Operational Quality & Process Excellence
- Ensure compliance with Blue Dart Standard Operating Procedures across all operational activities.
- Perform quality checks to minimise shipment handling errors and operational exceptions.
- Identify opportunities for improving operational efficiency and workflow.
- Support implementation of operational improvement initiatives.
- Ensure high standards of operational accuracy and productivity.
Coaching & Team Support
- Assist newly inducted Ops Staff during on-the-job training.
- Share operational best practices and promote adherence to SOPs.
- Support Shift In-charges in coordinating daily operational activities.
- Assist in balancing workload across operational workstations during peak periods.
- Promote teamwork and collaboration across the operations team.
Safety, Security & Compliance
- Follow all operational safety standards and Blue Dart security procedures.
- Ensure safe handling and movement of shipments.
- Report operational incidents, damaged shipments or unsafe conditions immediately.
- Promote a culture of workplace safety and operational discipline.
- Ensure compliance with statutory and operational requirements.
Workplace Discipline & Brand Representation
- Maintain high standards of personal grooming, hygiene and professional appearance.
- Wear the prescribed Blue Dart uniform and identity card while on duty.
- Demonstrate professionalism, punctuality and operational discipline.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area.

Continuous Improvement
- Participate in operational reviews and team briefings.
- Support implementation of new operational processes and technology.

- Support operational readiness during business expansion and peak seasons.
Qualifications & Experience:
Education:
- Minimum 10th Standard Pass.
- 10th Standard or higher qualification preferred.
Experience:
- 3–6 years of relevant experience in logistics, express distribution, warehousing, courier operations or supply chain operations.
- Experience in shipment processing, sorting, scanning and warehouse operations preferred.
- Exposure to handheld scanners and warehouse management systems will be an advantage.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Minimum age 18 years.
- Physically fit to perform operational activities involving standing, walking and manual handling of shipments.
- Willingness to work rotational shifts, weekends and public holidays based on business requirements.
- Basic English reading and communication skills.
- Basic computer and handheld scanner/mobile application skills.
- Strong understanding of operational discipline and process compliance.
