Hiring: Freelance Interior Designer | On-Site

Kalavya Atelier is expanding its design network and is looking for freelance Interior Designers who can manage **end-to-end design work on-site** in **Bangalore, Hyderabad, Mumbai, and Delhi**, from client understanding to final design closure.
We are not hiring designers for one limited skill. The role requires complete design ownership, client-facing confidence, creative thinking, and the ability to help close deals through strong design presentation.
**Role & Responsibilities:**
* Visit client sites as and when required
* Attend on-site visits, client meetings, site discussions, and design reviews whenever needed
* Understand space, client requirements, lifestyle, budget, and expectations
* Take accurate site measurements and coordinate for floor plans/site photos where needed
* Handle end-to-end design development from concept to final approval
* Prepare space planning, furniture layouts, zoning, circulation, and functional design solutions
* Create moodboards, themes, material palettes, colour concepts, styling references, and design presentations
* Prepare 2D drawings, working drawings, elevations, ceiling concepts, lighting layouts, electrical points, furniture details, and material specifications
* Suggest premium, practical, and executable materials, finishes, furniture, lighting, soft furnishings, décor, and styling elements
* Coordinate with vendors, site teams, execution partners, and internal team members
* Attend client meetings, explain design ideas, handle revisions, and guide clients toward design closure
* Support BOQ/design estimate discussions wherever required
* Ensure final designs are aesthetic, functional, executable, and aligned with the client’s lifestyle
* Take ownership of design quality until the project is ready for execution
* Help convert leads into confirmed design/project closures through strong presentation and communication
**Who Can Apply:**
* Interior designers, architects, design students, freshers, experienced professionals, or freelancers
* Candidates based in or available for projects in Bangalore, Hyderabad, Mumbai, or Delhi
* Architecture background is preferred but not mandatory
* Any experience level is welcome if you have a strong creative mind and ownership attitude
* Must be comfortable with client meetings, site visits, presentations, and design closure discussions
* Must have good communication and deal-closing skills
**Engagement Type:** Freelance / Project-based
