Position: Sr. Designer
Education: Preferably Fashion designing from NIFT, NID, Parsons, FIT
Experience: 12-15 yrs in hand embroidery industry
JOB PURPOSE
To provide strategic support to the Concept & Planning Custodian by bringing in innovative solutions, designs and out of the box ideas to the table. This role requires a deep understanding of the latest international fashion trends, designs, patterns; guide the designers and provide design advisory support to the clients
Strategic Support
· Develop strategies based on client behavior
· Be one step ahead of competition
· Create and execute a season calendar for the upcoming collection
· Decide on the style count in the category for the upcoming season
Creativity
· Provide exceptional ideas and path breaking initiatives
· Ability to scan the industry and suggest new concept and ideas
· Exceptional in designing and forecasting
· Concept development and path breaking initiatives
· Focus on building similar creative thinking processes in the design studio
· Provide parallel support to the Merchandising team in executing the ideas and bring alive designs into implementation
Research & Development
· Conduct extensive research on individual client preferences, trends & patterns etc
· Keep prior research reports handy before the season starts
· Provide alternate solutions and ideas to clients
· Develop a wide range of connectivity with networks manufacturers, fabric suppliers, embroiders etc
Team Management
· Brainstorm Designers and get the best possible output from them
· Should have the ability to effectively and efficiently manage a team of Designers
· Ensure minimal attrition
· Provide thorough training to the team members; mentor and guide them on regular basis
· Create strong back-ups within the dept
