Job Title: MEP Design Manager -1 Electrical/ELV/BMS
Key Responsibilities
Design Leadership & Management: Oversee the detailed design development for all electrical systems from concept to execution. This includes power, lighting, fire safety, ELV (Extra Low Voltage), load calculations.
Coordination & Collaboration: Act as the primary point of coordination with architects, structural engineers, clients, and contractors to ensure seamless integration of all MEP systems and resolve design conflicts.
Compliance & Quality Assurance: Ensure all designs comply with relevant local and international building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards (e.g., ASHRAE, NFPA, NBC, IS codes). Conduct technical reviews and approvals of drawings and specifications.
Documentation & Cost Management: Prepare and review Bills of Quantities (BOQs), technical specifications, and tender documents. Monitor budgets, track variations, and propose value engineering options to optimize costs and project timelines.
Technical Support & Mentorship: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and drafters. Support site and execution teams during the installation, testing, and commissioning phases.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Education: Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering
Experience: Relevant experience in MEP design and project management, preferably in commercial, residential, or industrial projects.
Technical Knowledge: Strong technical understanding of electrical systems (load estimation, short circuit analysis, single-line diagrams).Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and authority requirements.
Software Proficiency: Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit MEP for design and clash detection. Knowledge of project management tools and MS Office.
Soft Skills: Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
