About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Data Engineer / BI Specialist to join our growing Data & Analytics team. In this role, you will work on enterprise-scale data solutions, build robust ETL workflows, manage data transformation processes, and develop impactful business intelligence solutions that drive data-driven decision-making.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Alteryx, Power BI, SQL, and DAX, along with a solid understanding of data engineering, data warehousing, and BI best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL and data transformation workflows using Alteryx.
- Develop, enhance, and maintain interactive dashboards, reports, and visual analytics using Power BI.
- Create and optimize DAX measures, KPIs, calculated columns, and advanced Power BI data models.
- Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and data extraction processes.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
- Ensure data quality, consistency, integrity, and governance across data pipelines.
- Perform data analysis and provide actionable insights to support business objectives.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data, reporting, and performance-related issues.
- Adhere to data governance, security, and compliance standards.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for BI and data engineering processes.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 4–6 years of experience in Data Engineering, Business Intelligence, Analytics, or related fields.
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- Alteryx
- Power BI
- SQL
- Strong expertise in DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) for Power BI reporting and analytics.
- Experience with data modeling concepts, including star schema and dimensional modeling.
- Experience building and maintaining ETL pipelines and handling large-scale datasets.
- Good understanding of data warehousing concepts and best practices.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Knowledge of Python or other scripting languages.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Experience in query tuning and database performance optimization.
- Exposure to enterprise reporting and analytics environments.
