Engineering Graduate Trainee – Tool Room / Machine Shop

Job Summary:
We are seeking motivated and detail-oriented Engineering Graduates / Diploma Holders who are interested in gaining hands-on experience in the Tool Room and Machine Shop operations. This role provides practical exposure to machining processes, tool maintenance, and production support in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Tool Room:
- Assist in manufacturing, assembling, and maintenance of tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures
- Support tool inspection, repair, and modification activities
- Maintain tool records and ensure proper storage and handling
- Work with senior technicians to improve tool life and efficiency
Machine Shop:
- Operate and monitor conventional and CNC machines under supervision
- Assist in setting up machines, tooling, and workpieces
- Read and interpret basic engineering drawings and specifications
- Ensure adherence to production schedules and quality standards
- Perform basic measurement using instruments (Vernier caliper, micrometer, gauges)
Learning Exposure:
- CNC Programming basics and machining processes
- Preventive maintenance of tools and machines
- Quality control procedures and inspection techniques
- Lean manufacturing and 5S practices
- Safety standards in manufacturing operations
Required Qualifications:
- BE / B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Freshers or candidates with minimal experience
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes and engineering drawings
Required Skills:
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a shop-floor environment
- Basic technical and mechanical aptitude
- Attention to detail and problem-solving mindset
- Good communication and teamwork skills
Working Conditions:
- Shop-floor based role involving standing, machine interaction, and use of PPE
- Rotational shifts (if applicable)

Successful candidates may be absorbed into full-time roles based on performance, with career progression into Machine Operator, Tool Room Engineer, or Production Engineer roles.
