Key Job Requirements
- EXIM Documentation: Experience managing and verifying shipping bills, bills of lading, commercial invoices, and Letters of Credit (LC). [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
- Foreign Exchange Management: Ability to handle multicurrency transactions, track fluctuating exchange rates, and process foreign remittances. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
- Statutory & Tax Compliance: Hands-on knowledge of indirect taxes (e.g., GST), customs duties, transfer pricing, and import/export regulatory policies. [1, 2, 3]
- Trade Finance & Banking: Processing bank guarantees, managing export incentives (e.g., duty drawbacks), and executing export banking operations. [1, 2]
- Inventory & Cost Accounting: Tracking landed costs of goods, freight, and insurance to maintain accurate inventory valuation across global supply chains. [1]
Common Responsibilities
- Reconciling international bank accounts and resolving any payment discrepancies.
- Finalizing books of accounts and preparing monthly or yearly P&L statements specific to foreign trade.
- Working closely with logistics and customs brokers to ensure shipments align with financial records. [1, 2, 3]
