Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Electrical Technician with hands-on experience in Solar Rooftop and Ground Mounted Solar Projects. The candidate will be responsible for installation, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of DC and LT electrical systems associated with solar power plants.
Key ResponsibilitiesInstallation & Execution
- Execute electrical installation activities for rooftop and ground-mounted solar projects.
- Install and terminate DC cables, AC cables, cable trays, junction boxes, combiner boxes, LT panels, and associated equipment.
- Assist in inverter, transformer, and LT panel installation.
- Perform cable laying, dressing, and termination activities as per project drawings and standards.
Testing & Commissioning
- Conduct insulation resistance, continuity, polarity, and earth resistance testing.
- Support commissioning of solar PV systems, inverters, and LT electrical infrastructure.
- Maintain testing and commissioning records.
Operation & Maintenance
- Carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance activities.
- Troubleshoot faults in DC systems, inverters, LT panels, and associated electrical equipment.
- Monitor plant performance and assist in corrective actions to maximize generation.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with site safety procedures and electrical safety standards.
- Use PPE and maintain safe working practices.
- Report safety observations and incidents promptly.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain daily work reports and maintenance records.
- Update checklists, testing reports, and site activity logs.
- Support project documentation and handover processes.
Experience Required
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Solar Rooftop and Ground Mounted Solar Projects.
- Hands-on experience in:
- DC Electrical Works
- LT Electrical Works
- Cable Laying & Termination
- Inverter Installation & Commissioning
- Solar Plant O&M Activities
- Experience in Commercial & Industrial (C&I) solar projects will be preferred.
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of Solar PV systems.
- Understanding of DC and LT electrical systems.
- Ability to read electrical drawings, SLDs, and layouts.
- Proficiency in cable termination and testing.
- Hands-on experience with Multimeter, Clamp Meter, Megger, and other testing instruments.
- Knowledge of inverter troubleshooting and LT panel maintenance.
Educational Qualification
- ITI Electrician / Wireman Certification (Preferred)
- Diploma in Electrical Engineering (Preferred)
