Pre-Primary Coordinator
We are looking for an experienced, energetic, creative and passionate Pre-Primary Coordinator to lead and manage our Pre-Primary section. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in early childhood education, excellent team-handling skills, and the ability to bring innovative ideas, creativity and new-age teaching methodologies into the classroom.
The Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring the overall academic, administrative and developmental functioning of the Pre-Primary section while mentoring and guiding the team of teachers.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise and effectively manage the team of Pre-Primary teachers and support staff.
- Plan, coordinate and monitor the day-to-day functioning of the Pre-Primary section.
- Guide teachers in lesson planning, classroom management and age-appropriate teaching methodologies.
- Introduce innovative, creative and activity-based learning methods to make learning enjoyable and meaningful for young children.
- Encourage teachers to develop new ideas, classroom activities, games, projects, stories, art & craft and experiential learning experiences.
- Regularly observe classrooms and provide constructive feedback to teachers for improvement.
- Ensure that teaching-learning activities are aligned with the school's curriculum and objectives.
- Plan and coordinate celebrations, theme-based activities, events, competitions and special days for the Pre-Primary section.
- Maintain high standards of classroom presentation, displays, learning corners and overall section ambience.
- Mentor new teachers and support the professional development of the Pre-Primary team.
- Monitor student progress and ensure appropriate academic and developmental interventions wherever required.
- Maintain effective communication with parents and address routine academic and developmental concerns professionally.
- Coordinate with the Principal, Academic Head and other departments for smooth functioning of the school.
- Ensure proper implementation of school policies, procedures and discipline standards.
- Monitor teacher attendance, punctuality, lesson plans, notebooks/worksheets and other academic deliverables.
- Ensure that all records, assessments, reports and documentation related to the Pre-Primary section are maintained properly.
- Take initiative in introducing new concepts, teaching aids, technology and creative resources to enhance the learning experience.
- Ensure that the Pre-Primary environment is safe, engaging, joyful and child-friendly.
- Take ownership of the overall performance and development of the Pre-Primary section.
Candidate Profile
- Graduate with NTT / ECCEd / Montessori / D.Ed / B.Ed or equivalent qualification in Early Childhood Education.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in a Pre-Primary / Pre-School section, preferably with experience in a Coordinator or senior teaching role.
- Strong experience in handling and mentoring a team of teachers.
- Excellent understanding of early childhood education and child development.
- Highly creative, innovative and enthusiastic with the ability to introduce fresh ideas.
- Strong classroom observation and teacher mentoring skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good organizational and leadership abilities.
- Ability to handle parents and resolve concerns with maturity and professionalism.
- Proficiency in preparing lesson plans, activities and academic documentation.
- Candidates with experience in Montessori, phonics, activity-based learning, experiential learning and technology-enabled teaching will be preferred.
