Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and responsible Civil Foreman to supervise day-to-day construction activities at project sites. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of civil construction, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to ensure work is completed safely, on time, and as per quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily site construction activities.
- Manage and monitor skilled and unskilled labour, subcontractors, and site workers.
- Ensure work is executed according to approved drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
- Allocate manpower, materials, machinery, and equipment efficiently.
- Maintain quality standards throughout construction activities.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Monitor progress of work and report daily updates to the Site Engineer/Project Manager.
- Read and interpret construction drawings and layouts.
- Coordinate with engineers, architects, vendors, and contractors for smooth site execution.
- Inspect completed work and rectify defects before handover.
- Maintain records of daily labour attendance, material consumption, and site progress.
- Ensure proper housekeeping and discipline at the construction site.
- Resolve on-site issues and provide practical solutions to avoid delays.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma/ITI in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 5–10 years of experience as a Civil Foreman in residential, commercial, or industrial construction projects.
- Strong understanding of RCC work, masonry, plastering, waterproofing, finishing works, and structural construction.
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings.
- Good leadership and team management skills.
- Basic knowledge of construction safety practices.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
Preferred Skills
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability.
- Knowledge of construction materials and site execution.
- Ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously.
- Basic computer knowledge (MS Excel, WhatsApp reporting, etc.) is an added advantage.
