About the Internship
This internship is specially designed for students who wish to gain practical clinical exposure beyond classroom learning. It offers a structured, hands-on learning experience under the guidance of experienced therapeutic dieticians, helping students develop the skills required for clinical practice.
The internship focuses on applying nutrition science in real patient care while building confidence, professionalism, and clinical decision-making skills.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Observe and assist senior dieticians during patient consultations.
- Learn to assess patients with chronic conditions such as diabetes, PCOD, thyroid disorders, obesity, hypertension, fatty liver, gastrointestinal disorders, and other lifestyle diseases.
- Assist in preparing individualized therapeutic diet plans.
- Learn macronutrient and micronutrient balancing for different medical conditions.
- Understand the use of functional foods and therapeutic nutrition in disease management.
- Participate in patient follow-ups and progress monitoring.
- Maintain patient records and clinical documentation.
- Attend case discussions, educational sessions, and practical demonstrations.
- Complete structured learning modules and practical assignments.
- Maintain professionalism, punctuality, discipline, and patient confidentiality throughout the internship.

Learning, Growth & Career Opportunity
This internship is primarily a learning and skill-development programme designed to prepare students for a successful clinical career. Students who demonstrate:
- consistent attendance,
- sincerity,
- discipline,
- willingness to learn,
- successful completion of training modules, and
- good practical performance,
will be considered for a stipend during the stages of the internship based on their progress and contribution.
Interns who successfully complete the training and demonstrate strong clinical knowledge, professionalism, and commitment will be considered for a full-time Dietician position at our centre, subject to performance and vacancy.
Eligibility Criteria
Applications are invited from:
- B.Sc. Nutrition/Dietetics students (including those currently pursuing their degree)
- M.Sc. Nutrition/Dietetics students (including those pursuing their Master's)
- Online M.Sc. Nutrition or Dietetics students who are willing to undergo practical clinical training
- Candidates with a genuine interest in therapeutic and functional nutrition
- Individuals willing to commit to full-time clinical learning and professional development
