Job Overview
We are looking for experienced Optometrists to join our Remote/Tele Optometry team. The role involves connecting with customers remotely, conducting vision assessments and eye tests, understanding their visual requirements, and recommending suitable corrective eyewear.
The optometrist will work remotely with customers visiting the store, with support from an in-store technician/team.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish a remote connection with customers visiting the store.
- Understand customers' visual challenges, requirements, and needs.
- Conduct remote eye tests according to defined protocols and accepted standards.
- Assess customers' vision and provide appropriate recommendations.
- Educate customers about recommended frames, lenses, and contact lenses.
- Screen for possible eye conditions and recommend referrals to appropriate healthcare providers when required.
- Explain the benefits of corrective eyewear and proper eye care.
- Recommend the next eye test based on the suggested six-month schedule.
- Update customer prescription/power details in the system.
- Assist customers in accessing and downloading their digital prescription through the app.
- Maintain required eye-test volumes, eye-to-buy conversion and eye-test quality metrics.
- Maintain professional communication and a customer-focused approach.
Eligibility & Requirements
- Degree/Diploma in Optometry is mandatory.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant optometry experience required.
- Strong knowledge of optometry and vision testing.
- Experience using various optometry equipment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good customer-handling and relationship-building skills.
- Basic computer knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Comfortable working in a technology-enabled/remote optometry environment.
- Willingness to work from the assigned office location.
Salary
Up to ₹40,000 CTC per month
Salary will depend on relevant experience, skills, and previous compensation. Candidates with 5+ years of relevant experience will be considered for the higher salary range.
Work Schedule
- 6 days working
- 1 rotational week off
- Minimum 9 hours of work per day
- Shifts as per business requirements

- Candidates with strong customer-facing and clinical optometry experience.
