About the Role
We are looking for a proactive Liaison Executive / Coordinator for our ship block manufacturing and hull fabrication business. The role involves managing communication and coordination between our shipyard/manufacturing site, port and maritime authorities, classification societies, vendors, and internal departments. The ideal candidate will be the key point of contact for external liaison work, regulatory documentation, and on-ground coordination at our Garden Reach facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate gate passes, material movement, and vessel/hull block dispatch documentation with port and dock authorities
- Liaise with classification society surveyors and inspection agencies for hull block and steel quality approvals
- Coordinate with vendors, steel suppliers, and contractors to ensure timely delivery, documentation, and quality clearances
- Maintain and track statutory compliance documents, yard permits, safety certifications, and renewal timelines
- Support site operations by coordinating between management, production, QA/QC, and on-site staff
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, vendors, and external stakeholders to support business development efforts
- Prepare status reports, correspondence, and follow-up trackers for ongoing liaison and regulatory matters
- Travel locally as required to port offices, government departments, vendor sites, and the Garden Reach yard
- Handle day-to-day administrative coordination and ensure smooth information flow across departments
Requirements
- Graduate in any discipline (Bachelor's degree required); background in marine engineering, naval architecture, or maritime studies is a plus but not mandatory
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in liaison, coordination, sales, or marketing roles, preferably with exposure to shipbuilding, marine, port operations, or heavy industrial/infrastructure sectors
- Candidates with a sales and marketing background are preferred, given the relationship-building and stakeholder-coordination nature of the role
- Strong communication skills in English, Hindi, and Bengali
- Familiarity with port/maritime authority procedures, customs documentation, and classification society processes (preferred)
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Own two-wheeler/willingness to travel locally, including frequent visits to port and dockyard areas
- Strong follow-up, organizational, and interpersonal skills; ability to work with regulatory officials, vendors, and clients alike
Pay: ₹22,356.00 - ₹30,115.00 per month
