Job Brief
The Embedded Coder (Keil) will be responsible for developing, testing, and maintaining embedded software using Embedded C/C++ for microcontroller-based systems. The role requires close coordination with hardware and PCB teams to ensure seamless integration, efficient performance, and adherence to product specifications and quality standards.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain Embedded C/C++ programs using Keil software for microcontroller-based systems.
- Work on firmware development and optimization for embedded applications.
- Collaborate with hardware teams for PCB design integration and validation.
- Understand and interpret schematic diagrams and circuit designs.
- Assist in PCB design and layout using Protel 99 or other recommended software (as required).
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including code documentation and system design details.
- Perform PCB mounting and assembly, including soldering of through-hole and SMD components.
- Carry out testing and debugging of embedded systems and PCBs using appropriate tools and Automatic Test Equipment (ATE).
- Perform fault finding and troubleshooting at both software and hardware levels.
- Repair and replace faulty components or document failure reasons and coordinate with the QA Department.
- Work on analog and digital circuit interfacing with microcontrollers.
- Optimize code for performance, memory utilization, and efficiency.
- Analyze and resolve issues related to design, testing, and production.
- Provide technical support to R&D, production, and testing teams.
Education Qualifications
- Minimum Education: Graduate
- Technical Qualification: Preferably B.Tech (Electronics / Electrical / Instrumentation / Embedded Systems / Computer Science)
Experience Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in Embedded C/C++ programming and development
- Preferred Experience:
Exposure to PCB design, testing, and hardware debugging Behavioral & Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of C and C++ (C++) programming for embedded systems
- Hands-on experience with Keil software for embedded development
- Knowledge of microcontrollers (such as 8051, ARM, etc.)
- Understanding of hardware-software integration
- Familiarity with PCB design and circuit fundamentals
- Ability to debug both software and hardware issues
- Knowledge of analog and digital electronics
- Experience with testing tools and debugging instruments
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Good communication and coordination skills
