Executive Summary
The Technical Lead – C++ Development (Manager) is a hands-on, engineering-first leadership role. This individual will spend roughly 70–80% of their time actively designing and writing microsecond-optimized code, while dedicating 20–30% to mentoring team members, conducting code reviews, and coordinating sprint execution. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in low-level systems programming and takes pride in building lightning-fast software components for high-throughput environments.

Key Responsibilities
1. High-Performance C++ Engineering (Primary Focus)
Write clean, robust, and exceptionally fast systems-level code using Modern C++ (C++17/20) for market connectivity, risk engines, and execution routing.
Apply low-latency programming principles to minimize execution paths, utilizing custom memory pools and placement new to entirely eliminate runtime heap allocation (malloc/free) on critical code paths.
Build and maintain highly optimized Inter-Process Communication (IPC) channels, leveraging shared memory and lock-free ring buffers to stream data seamlessly between local processes.
Implement complex multi-threading strategies, ensuring safe concurrent access via atomic operations and configuring thread affinity (pthread_setaffinity_np) to maximize CPU cache performance.
Leverage template metaprogramming or High-Level Template (HTL) idioms to build powerful, compile-time optimized code abstractions that incur zero runtime performance penalty.
2. Algorithmic Data & Domain Processing
Utilize deep knowledge of Data Structures and Algorithms to construct custom high-performance indexing, bitwise data packing, and efficient binary parsing mechanics.
Develop optimized relational database structures, high-speed transactional logs, and lookup queries in MySQL to maintain reference data and audit trails.
Apply trading domain knowledge to correctly parse and implement financial exchange protocols (such as FIX, ITCH, OUCH, or SBE), matching engines, order lifecycles, and risk constraints.
3. Team Management & Code Quality
Act as the immediate supervisor for a small pod of 3–4 developers, facilitating daily standups, breaking down technical tasks, and tracking sprint execution.
Maintain an uncompromising standard for code quality by conducting granular peer reviews and enforcing strict static analysis guidelines.
Incorporate automated profiling routines (using tools like Valgrind, gprof, Google Benchmark, or Linux perf) directly into the development workflow to instantly catch latency or memory regressions.
Job Specific Skills
Technical Skills & Competencies
Core Systems C++: Mastery of C++ and the STL, with an emphasis on manual memory tracking, pointers, RAII, and template abstractions.
Concurrency & Concurrency Primitives: Strong practical understanding of writing thread-safe, multi-threaded code, lock-free logic, and avoiding thread-contention bugs.
Low-Latency Literacy: Sound comprehension of hardware interactions, including CPU cache lines (L1/L2/L3), memory-mapped files (mmap), and hardware branch prediction.
Data & DB Proficiency: Sharp analytical skills for optimizing algorithms for time/space complexity, coupled with strong relational database design and indexing capabilities in MySQL.
HTL Frameworks: Experience using template-driven frameworks or HTL concepts to shift runtime operations to compile-time.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a heavily quantitative science/engineering discipline.
Experience: 6+ years of production-level experience in systems-level software development, with at least 2+ year of experience as team lead.
Domain Advantage: Exposure to financial engineering environments, proprietary trading operations, asset management systems, or core fintech infrastructure is a distinct advantage.
Pay: Up to ₹2,000,000.00 per year
