Job Summary
We are seeking a responsible and organized Store Keeper to manage inventory, material receipts, storage, and dispatch activities. The ideal candidate should have experience in maintaining stock records, handling inward and outward materials, and ensuring proper inventory control to support smooth project and operational activities.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate records of stock, materials, tools, consumables, and equipment.
- Monitor inventory levels and report shortages or excess stock to management.
- Conduct periodic physical stock verification and reconciliation.
- Ensure proper storage and identification of materials to prevent damage or loss.
- Maintain minimum and reorder stock levels.
Material Receipt & Dispatch
- Receive incoming materials and verify quantity and quality against purchase orders and delivery challans.
- Prepare Goods Receipt Notes (GRN) and maintain inward registers.
- Issue materials to project sites, departments, and production teams as per approved requisitions.
- Maintain records of material dispatches and transfers.
- Coordinate with transporters and vendors for material deliveries.
Documentation & Record Keeping
- Maintain stock registers, issue registers, inward/outward records, and inventory reports.
- Update inventory records in ERP, Excel, or inventory management software.
- Maintain proper filing of purchase orders, invoices, delivery challans, and related documents.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports.
Coordination & Compliance
- Coordinate with the purchase department regarding material requirements and replenishment.
- Support project and operations teams by ensuring timely availability of materials.
- Ensure proper housekeeping and safety practices within the store area.
- Monitor material handling and storage procedures to minimize wastage and damage.
Required Qualifications
- PUC / Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in any discipline.
- Certification in Inventory Management or Stores Management will be an added advantage.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of inventory control and store operations.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and basic computer applications.
- Experience working with ERP or inventory management software is preferred.
- Good record-keeping and documentation skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Basic understanding of material handling and warehouse safety practices.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
Preferred Experience
- 2–3 years of experience as a Store Keeper, Warehouse Assistant, or Inventory Executive.
- Experience in engineering, construction, manufacturing, environmental, waste management, or industrial projects will be an advantage.
- Familiarity with mechanical, electrical, civil, or project-related materials is preferred.
Compensation
- Salary: ₹20,000 – ₹25,000 per month (based on experience and qualifications).
- Other benefits as per company policy.
