About the Role:
We are seeking a proactive, strategic, and results-driven Business Development Executive (BDE) to take complete ownership of our Upwork bidding and lead generation operations. In this role, you will be fully responsible for managing our overall Upwork presence, defining target strategies, and crafting high-quality, customized proposals to win projects.Key Responsibilities:
- End-to-End Upwork Management: Act as the primary owner for overall profile management, optimization, and bidding activities on the Upwork platform.
- Warm Lead Targeting: Identify, evaluate, and target high-potential job postings, leveraging and prioritizing warm leads to optimize conversion rates.
- Strategy & Preparing Cover letter/Proposal/Documents: Independently formulate effective bidding strategies and write highly professional, compelling, and customized proposal content tailored to client requirements.
- International Market Outreach: Position our services to capture business across key global markets, explicitly focusing on the US, UK, Europe, and EMEA regions.
- Client Call Execution: Take charge of initial discovery calls, effectively present our technical capabilities, and manage early-stage client communications to qualify leads.
- Day & Night Shift Availability: Maintain a highly flexible schedule with availability across day and night intervals to secure optimal coverage for global time zones.
- Pipeline Management: Diligently track, maintain, and update a clear pipeline of active bids, responses, and lead statuses using CRM tools.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Working experience in the IT/Software Services industry is a must.
- Sound understanding of the IT/software industry, including familiarity with software development lifecycles, cloud platforms, SaaS/PaaS business models, and common enterprise technologies, is essential to engage credibly with technical stakeholders and position solutions effectively.
- Expertise in Upwork bidding with a consistent track record of winning projects.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to craft compelling proposals, articulate technical concepts clearly, and represent the company confidently across client calls and business interactions.
- Understanding of freelancing platforms and how to tailor proposals to client needs.
- Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple bids daily.
- Familiarity with lead tracking tools (CRM, Excel, Trello, etc.) is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters/Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Previous working experience in the IT/Software Services industry.
