About the Role
We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Automation Engineer with 1–2 years of experience to join our growing technology team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining automated testing solutions to improve software quality, reliability, and delivery speed. You will work closely with developers, QA engineers, and product teams to ensure seamless software releases.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web and API applications.
- Execute automation test suites and analyze test results.
- Identify, document, and track software defects using bug-tracking tools.
- Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot and resolve application issues.
- Participate in requirement analysis and test planning.
- Perform regression, functional, integration, and smoke testing.
- Integrate automation scripts into CI/CD pipelines.
- Continuously improve test coverage and automation frameworks.
- Prepare test reports and provide regular updates to project stakeholders.
- Ensure timely completion of assigned tasks while maintaining high-quality standards.
Required Skills
- 1–2 years of experience in Software Test Automation.
- Strong knowledge of automation tools such as Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, Playwright, or similar.
- Experience with API testing tools like Postman or Rest Assured.
- Basic programming knowledge in Java, Python, or JavaScript.
- Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
- Familiarity with Git or other version control systems.
- Basic understanding of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
- Knowledge of SQL and database testing.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and debugging skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Knowledge of performance or security testing is an added advantage.
- ISTQB Certification will be considered a plus.
