Key Responsibilities
- Handle complete import documentation process.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, CHA, shipping lines, and suppliers.
- Prepare and verify import documents such as:
- Invoice
- Packing List
- Bill of Lading / Airway Bill
- BOE documents
- Track shipment status and ensure timely clearance.
- Coordinate with customs agents for smooth customs clearance.
- Maintain records of import transactions and related compliance documents.
- Follow up with vendors and logistics partners regarding shipment schedules.
- Ensure compliance with DGFT, customs, and other import regulations.
- Update MIS reports and maintain proper filing of documents.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in import documentation or logistics.
- Knowledge of customs clearance and import procedures.
- Familiarity with ICEGATE, DGFT, and shipping documentation preferred.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and email communication.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
