About this role
We're hiring a full-time Applied AI Engineer to work across a range of AI-driven projects — both improving our existing systems and designing and building new ones from scratch. You'll research and prototype new AI approaches and ship them into production, so we're looking for someone equally comfortable jumping into an established codebase and architecting something entirely new.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain AI-powered features across multiple projects.
- Architect and build new AI projects from the ground up — from concept and design through to deployment.
- Research, prototype, and evaluate new AI/ML techniques and apply the best ones to our products.
- Quickly diagnose and resolve issues in current and new projects
- Integrate, fine-tune, and optimize language models and other ML/NLP components.
- Work with APIs, backend services, and data pipelines.
- Stay current with AI developments and recommend where they can improve our work.
- Collaborate with the team and help them shape technical direction on AI initiatives.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience building AI/ML applications.
- Strong Python, Machine Learning fundamentals, Deep Learning, Fine-tuning / LoRA / QLoRA skills.
- Familiarity with LLM APIs and NLP frameworks
- Experience designing and building projects from scratch, as well as improving and maintaining existing ones.
- Ability to both experiment with new approaches and ship them to production.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills — able to find root causes and deliver fixes quickly.
- Ability to ramp up fast on an existing codebase and understand systems you didn't build.
- Comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
- Good communication and documentation habits.
Nice to have
- Background in ML research, or a degree in ML, CS, math, or a related field.
- Experience with [RAG, vector databases, MLOps].
- Prior experience on distributed/remote teams.
Pay: ₹700,000.00 - ₹800,000.00 per year
