Job Summary
ABODE School is looking for an engaging and student-focused Primary English Teacher to inspire young learners and develop their language, reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills. The ideal candidate should create an engaging, inclusive, and child-friendly learning environment while fostering a love for the English language.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English lessons aligned with the school curriculum.
- Develop students' reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, speaking, and listening skills.
- Use creative and interactive teaching methods to make learning enjoyable.
- Assess, monitor, and record student progress through regular evaluations and feedback.
- Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, and classroom activities.
- Maintain a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment.
- Encourage critical thinking, creativity, and effective communication skills.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers, coordinators, and parents to support student development.
- Participate in school events, parent-teacher meetings, training sessions, and other academic activities.
- Maintain accurate academic records and submit reports as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in English or a related field.
- B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) is mandatory.
- Strong command of spoken and written English.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Proficiency in using technology and digital teaching tools is an added advantage.
Experience
- 2–5 years of teaching experience in a primary school is preferred.
