About the Role
Responsible for gearbox modeling, drafting, component design, and engineering documentation while collaborating with cross-functional teams to support product development and optimization initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Create engineering specifications, technical drawings, and bills of materials (BOM) for gearbox components.
- Develop 3D models and detailed drawings for geared motor and gearbox products.
- Deliver engineering outputs within defined project timelines and quality standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product development activities.
- Perform design calculations and work in accordance with applicable engineering standards and design methodologies.
- Design and optimize cast components used in gearbox assemblies.
- Participate in prototype testing and validation activities.
- Support localization, value engineering, and cost optimization initiatives.
- Review supplier drawings and technical documentation and provide engineering feedback.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and gearbox engineering.
- Experience in gearbox, transmission, or powertrain design.
- Knowledge of ISO and DIN standards and load capacity calculation methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with gearbox design and analysis software such as Romax and KISSsoft.
- Proficiency in Siemens NX (Unigraphics) for modeling and drafting.
- Experience working with PLM/ERP systems such as SAP, Teamcenter, or similar platforms.
Pay: ₹1,000,000.00 - ₹1,200,000.00 per year
