As a Piping Layout - Engineer or Senior Engineer with Worley, you will work closely with our existing team to deliver projects for our clients while continuing to develop your skills and experience etc.
Responsibilities:
- Develop piping layouts, equipment layouts, and plot plans for oil & gas / petrochemical projects
- Prepare and review piping general arrangement (GA) drawings, isometrics, and 3D models
- Perform equipment modelling and piping routing in 3D tools such as E3D / PDMS / SP3D
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, international codes, and safety standards
- Coordinate with process, mechanical, civil, electrical, and instrumentation teams for interdisciplinary alignment
- Conduct model reviews, clash detection, and resolution
- Support material take-offs (MTO), piping BOQs, and line list verification
- Participate in client meetings, design reviews, and HAZOP / safety studies as required
- Ensure constructability, accessibility, and maintainability in design
- Guide and mentor junior engineers/designers
- Deliver projects within schedule, budget, and quality requirements
To be considered for this role, it is envisaged you will possess the following attributes:
- 8–15 years of experience in piping layout/design within EPC / Oil & Gas / Petrochemical industries
- Strong hands-on experience in 3D modelling tools: E3D / PDMS / SP3D
- Good knowledge of piping layout philosophy, equipment arrangement, and routing principles
- Familiarity with international codes & standards (ASME, API, etc.)
- Experience in brownfield and greenfield projects
- Strong understanding of plot plan development, piping hierarchy, and stress-related layout considerations
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary and global delivery environment
Good communication and stakeholder management skills
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
