Role Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented Test Engineer with 1–2 years of experience in software testing. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in Manual Testing and a basic understanding or working knowledge of Automation Testing, proficient in using AI-assisted development and testing tools to improve productivity, quality, and overall software delivery. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and senior QA engineers to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand business requirements, user stories, and functional specifications.
- Design, create, review, and execute manual test cases and test scenarios.
- Perform Functional, Regression, Integration, Smoke, and Sanity testing.
- Identify, document, track, and verify software defects using bug tracking tools.
- Collaborate with developers to reproduce and resolve reported issues.
- Participate in requirement analysis and sprint planning meetings.
- Assist in maintaining test documentation, test plans, and test reports.
- Contribute to automation testing by creating or maintaining automated test scripts.
- Execute automation test suites and analyze test execution results.
- Support continuous improvement of QA processes and testing standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 1–2 years of experience in Manual Testing of web or mobile applications.
- Good understanding of STLC, SDLC, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Hands-on experience in Functional, Regression, Smoke, Sanity, and Integration Testing.
- Experience in writing test cases, executing test scenarios, and reporting defects.
- Basic knowledge of Automation Testing using Playwright (preferred), Selenium.
- Basic programming knowledge in JavaScript or TypeScript is preferred.
- Familiarity with REST API testing using Postman and basic SQL for database validation.
- Experience using bug tracking and project management tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
- Basic understanding of Git and CI/CD concepts is an added advantage.
- Proficient in using AI tools such as ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, or similar platforms to improve testing productivity, generate test cases, assist with automation scripting, and analyze defects.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and grow in the field of Automation Testing.

What Will Make You Stand Out
- Experience in a SaaS-based product company.
- Knowledge of performance/load testing tools (e.g., k6, JMeter).
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes.
- ISTQB Advanced Level Test Automation Engineer or similar certification.
