Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Certification Engineer to lead and manage product
certification activities for our electrical component manufacturing business.
The candidate will be responsible for obtaining and maintaining product certifications from international
certification bodies, including UL and other global regulatory agencies.
The role requires complete ownership of the certification process, from standard identification, application
submission, testing coordination, technical documentation preparation, factory audits, compliance
management, and successful certification approval.
The candidate should possess strong technical knowledge of electrical products, applicable international
standards, testing requirements, and certification procedures.
Key Responsibilities
UL Certification Management
Lead end-to-end UL certification projects for Copper Cable Lugs, Connectors, Grounding Components,
Busbars, Terminals, and related electrical products.
Coordinate directly with inspectors and engineers from UL Solutions.
Prepare and submit certification applications, technical files, drawings, specifications, material details, and
supporting documents.
Coordinate product testing, sample submission, and test witnessing activities.
Address technical observations, non-conformities, and corrective actions raised during certification reviews.
Manage factory inspections and follow-up audits.
Ensure timely achievement and maintenance of UL certifications.
Regulatory & Product Certifications
Handle certification activities related to:
o UL Solutions
o CSA Group
o Intertek (ETL)
o TÜV Rheinland
o IEC Standards Compliance
o CE Compliance Requirements
o RoHS Compliance
o REACH Compliance
o Other international and customer-specific certifications
Technical Documentation
Develop and maintain:
o Engineering drawings
o Product specifications
o Construction data forms
o BOMs
o Material declarations
o Compliance reports
o Certification dossiers
o Technical files
Product Testing & Validation
Plan and execute product qualification tests.
Coordinate with internal and external laboratories.
Analyse test reports and implement corrective actions where required.
Ensure compliance with applicable standards and customer requirements.
Audit & Compliance Management
Support internal and external audits.
Maintain certification records and compliance databases.
Ensure continued compliance with certification requirements and manufacturing controls.
Required Qualifications
Education
BE / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering
BE / B.Tech in Mechatronics Engineering
BE / B.Tech in Electronics Engineering
BE / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
Experience
Minimum 4–5 years of relevant experience in product certification and compliance.
Hands-on experience in obtaining UL certification for electrical products is mandatory.
Experience with cable lugs, connectors, terminals, electrical accessories, switchgear components, busbars,
grounding products, or similar industrial products will be preferred.
Required Technical Skills
Strong knowledge of UL certification processes.
Understanding of electrical product standards and testing requirements.
Knowledge of IEC standards and international compliance requirements.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
Experience in technical documentation preparation.
Understanding of manufacturing processes for electrical components.
Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Corrective Action implementation.
Proficiency in MS Office.
Working knowledge of AutoCAD and 3D CAD software will be an advantage.
Preferred Candidate Profile
Candidates having proven experience in obtaining UL certification for Copper Cable Lugs, Compression
Connectors, Grounding Connectors, Busbars, and other electrical interconnection products will be given
strong preference.
Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹1,914,467.25 per year
