Key Responsibilities
- Provide 24×7 medical coverage for IP and emergency patients as per duty roster.
- Conduct initial assessment of newly admitted patients and monitor clinical progress.
- Handle casualty/emergency cases and initiate immediate management.
- Monitor post-operative and medically unstable patients and escalate appropriately.
- Attend to patient complaints, clinical deterioration and urgent calls.
- Coordinate with consultants from Urology, Neurology/Neurosurgery, Orthopaedics, General Surgery, OBG, Ophthalmology, Paediatrics/Pediatric Surgery, Pulmonology and General Medicine.
- Ensure timely implementation of consultant orders and treatment plans.
- Perform/assist with procedures within competence: IV access, catheterisation, suturing, NG tube insertion, emergency medications, etc.
- Maintain accurate case sheets, progress notes, treatment charts, discharge summaries and referral documentation.
- Ensure proper handover between shifts.
- Coordinate investigations, referrals, transfers and emergency interventions.
- Follow hospital NABH protocols, infection-control practices and patient-safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with patients and attendants and maintain professional conduct.
- Support smooth coordination between nursing, pharmacy, laboratory, radiology and other departments.
Preferred Skills
- Good clinical assessment and emergency-management skills.
- Sound knowledge of common inpatient and emergency conditions.
- Ability to identify red-flag cases and escalate to consultants/ICU promptly.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
- Willingness to work rotational day/night shifts.
- Responsible, punctual and able to work independently.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
