We are seeking a highly qualified, passionate, and experienced Mathematics Teacher to teach students in Grades 11 and 12 under the IB Diploma Programme (DP) and Cambridge IGCSE/AS & A Level Curriculum.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong mathematical expertise, excellent pedagogical skills, and the ability to foster analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and a deep appreciation for mathematics. The teacher will be responsible for delivering rigorous academic instruction while supporting students in achieving outstanding examination results and university readiness.
Key ResponsibilitiesAcademic & Teaching Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality Mathematics instruction aligned with IB DP and Cambridge IGCSE/AS & A Level curriculum standards.
- Prepare engaging lesson plans, teaching materials, assignments, and assessments.
- Teach a wide range of mathematical concepts, including:
- Algebra
- Functions and Graphs
- Trigonometry
- Geometry
- Coordinate Geometry
- Probability
- Statistics
- Calculus
- Vectors
- Mathematical Modeling
- Differential and Integral Calculus
- Foster inquiry-based and student-centered learning.
- Integrate technology and digital tools to enhance teaching and learning.
- Encourage critical thinking, logical reasoning, and real-world application of mathematics.
IB & IGCSE Curriculum ResponsibilitiesIB Diploma Programme
- Teach Mathematics: Analysis and Approaches (AA) and/or Mathematics: Applications and Interpretation (AI) at SL and HL levels.
- Support students with Internal Assessments (IA) and mathematical investigations.
- Guide students in developing research, analytical, and mathematical communication skills.
Cambridge IGCSE / AS & A Level
- Prepare students for IGCSE, AS, and A Level Mathematics examinations.
- Develop examination-focused strategies and revision programs.
- Conduct mock examinations and performance analyses.
Assessment & Evaluation
- Develop and administer formative and summative assessments.
- Evaluate student performance and provide timely, constructive feedback.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and progress reports.
- Monitor academic performance and provide intervention support where necessary.
- Analyze assessment data to enhance student outcomes.
Student Development & Mentorship
- Mentor and support students in achieving academic excellence.
- Encourage participation in Mathematics Olympiads, competitions, and enrichment activities.
- Assist students with university preparation and career pathways in STEM fields.
- Foster confidence, independence, and a growth mindset among learners.
- Maintain effective communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress.
Curriculum Development
- Participate in curriculum design, review, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop innovative instructional materials and learning resources.
- Collaborate with cross-functional academic teams to support interdisciplinary learning.
- Stay updated with developments in mathematics education, technology, and international curricula.
School & Professional Responsibilities
- Attend faculty meetings, academic reviews, workshops, and professional development programs.
- Participate in parent-teacher conferences and school events.
- Support extracurricular and enrichment activities related to Mathematics and STEM.
- Comply with all institutional policies, safeguarding requirements, and professional standards.
- Contribute to a positive, collaborative, and inclusive learning environment.
QualificationsEssential Requirements
- Master's Degree in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field.
- Bachelor’s Degree with a recognized teaching qualification (B.Ed., PGCE, or equivalent).
- Minimum 3–5 years of teaching experience at the secondary or higher secondary level.
- Experience teaching IB Diploma Programme and/or Cambridge IGCSE/AS & A Level Mathematics.
- Excellent proficiency in spoken and written English.
Preferred Qualifications
- IB-certified training in Mathematics.
- Cambridge International curriculum teaching experience.
- International school teaching experience.
- Experience in online and blended learning environments.
- Familiarity with educational technologies, graphing software, and learning management systems.
