- Role Overview
- We are seeking an experienced AS400 IBM i Developer with strong MQ Series integration expertise to design develop enhance and support enterprise applications
- The role focuses on delivering high performance reliable and scalable solutions while ensuring seamless integration between AS400 and distributed systems
- Key Responsibilities
- Design develop maintain and optimize applications on AS400 IBM i platforms
- Implement and support MQ Series integrations including queues channels and message flows
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical designs and scalable solutions
- Conduct impact analysis code reviews unit testing debugging and performance tuning
- Support batch and online processes ensuring system stability and high availability
- Collaborate with architects business analysts QA and operations teams for end to end delivery
- Provide production support incident resolution and root cause analysis
- Maintain technical documentation standards and best practices
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to planning estimation and status reporting
- Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor s or Master s degree MTech Btech MCA BCA in a relevant discipline
- 5 9 years of hands on experience with AS400 IBM i in enterprise environments
- Strong expertise in AS400 development maintenance and production support
- Proven experience with MQ Series based integrations
- Strong analytical communication and collaboration skills
- Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with modernization or migration initiatives
- Expertise in high availability MQ architectures and performance tuning
- Exposure to Agile or structured SDLC environments and IBM i deployment processes
