Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Engineer with strong knowledge of Six Sigma and ISO quality management systems. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring product quality, process compliance, documentation control, and continuous improvement across manufacturing operations.
The role demands hands-on involvement in machine assembly inspection, vendor quality control, system audits, and implementation of structured quality systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain Quality Management Systems in line with ISO 9001 standards.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015 documentation and audit requirements.
- Implement Six Sigma tools and methodologies for process improvement and defect reduction.
- Prepare and maintain SOPs, Work Instructions, QC checklists, and calibration records.
- Conduct incoming material inspection, in-process inspection, and final inspection of machines before dispatch.
- Handle root cause analysis using tools such as 5 Why, Fishbone Diagram, Pareto Analysis, and FMEA.
- Monitor KPIs related to quality, rejection rates, and rework percentages.
- Conduct internal audits and coordinate external certification audits.
- Ensure proper documentation backup of PLC, HMI, and machine software before dispatch.
- Work closely with Production, Design, and Service teams to improve product reliability.
- Handle customer complaints and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Maintain calibration schedules for testing instruments and measuring devices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Instrumentation Engineering.
- Certification or strong working knowledge of Six Sigma (Green Belt preferred).
- In-depth understanding of ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System.
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in a machine manufacturing company.
- Knowledge of quality tools such as SPC, MSA, FMEA, Control Charts.
- Experience in handling audits and documentation.
- Good communication and report-writing skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in testing machine manufacturing or automation systems.
- Understanding of PLC, HMI, electrical panels, and mechanical assemblies.
- Knowledge of 21 CFR compliance (preferred).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
