Job Summary
The Commis Chef – Chinese Cuisine is responsible for assisting senior chefs in the preparation and cooking of Chinese dishes while maintaining hygiene, food quality, and kitchen standards. The role includes supporting daily kitchen operations and learning professional Chinese cooking techniques.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of Chinese cuisine as per hotel standards and recipes.
- Prepare ingredients such as vegetables, meats, sauces, noodles, rice dishes, and marinades.
- Support senior chefs during buffet, à la carte, and banquet operations.
- Assist in wok cooking and preparation of Chinese specialty dishes.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and work area.
- Ensure proper storage and labeling of food items.
- Follow food safety and sanitation standards at all times.
- Assist in minimizing food wastage and maintaining kitchen discipline.
- Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, utensils, and workstations properly.
- Support mise en place preparation for daily operations.
- Follow instructions from senior chefs and complete assigned tasks efficiently.
- Maintain proper grooming and professional conduct in the workplace.
Requirements
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in hotel or restaurant kitchen operations preferred.
- Basic knowledge of Chinese cuisine and cooking techniques.
- Familiarity with wok cooking, sauces, noodles, and Chinese food preparation preferred.
- Ability to work in shifts and under pressure.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Hotel Management or Culinary certification preferred.

Working Hours
As per hotel operational requirements and shift schedules.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
