Key Responsibilities
- Inspect raw materials, bought-out items, and fabricated components.
- Perform in-process and final inspection of sheet metal components.
- Check dimensions as per approved drawings and specifications.
- Inspect laser-cut, CNC-bent, welded, and fabricated parts.
- Identify defects such as incorrect dimensions, burrs, scratches, welding defects, deformation, and other quality issues.
- Use measuring instruments such as Vernier calipers, micrometers, measuring tapes, height gauges, and other inspection tools.
- Prepare and maintain inspection reports and quality records.
- Segregate rejected and non-conforming materials.
- Report quality issues immediately to the Quality Engineer / Production team.
- Ensure corrective action is taken for recurring quality problems.
- Verify products before dispatch as per customer requirements.
- Maintain traceability and proper identification of accepted and rejected material.
- Follow approved quality procedures, work instructions, and safety requirements.
- Support internal audits and customer inspections when required.
- Maintain cleanliness and 5S in the inspection area.
Required Skills
- Good knowledge of engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of dimensional inspection and measuring instruments.
- Basic understanding of sheet metal fabrication, laser cutting, bending, welding, and assembly.
- Ability to identify manufacturing defects.
- Knowledge of quality inspection records and documentation.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel and computer operations.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
