Job Summary:
The Cambridge Board Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the implementation and administration of the Cambridge International Curriculum (IGCSE & AS/A Levels) at Ompee Global School. The role includes curriculum planning, teacher training, student assessments, compliance with Cambridge guidelines, and ensuring high academic standards.
Key Responsibilities:Curriculum Implementation & Academic Excellence:
- Ensure the Cambridge curriculum is effectively integrated into the school's academic framework.
- Assist in developing lesson plans, schemes of work, and assessments as per Cambridge guidelines.
- Monitor teaching quality, student progress, and curriculum alignment with international standards.
- Coordinate with Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) for syllabus updates, registrations, and exam administration.
Teacher Training & Professional Development:
- Organize training sessions and workshops for teachers on Cambridge teaching methodologies.
- Support teachers in implementing active learning strategies, differentiated instruction, and assessments.
- Ensure faculty stays updated with latest CIE guidelines and resources.
Student Assessment & Academic Support:
- Oversee formative and summative assessments, including Cambridge exams.
- Guide students on subject selection and career pathways within the IGCSE & A-Level framework.
- Analyze student performance data and implement academic improvement plans.
Compliance & Cambridge Accreditation:
- Ensure compliance with Cambridge policies, school inspection requirements, and academic audits.
- Manage documentation and reports required for Cambridge Accreditation & Authorisation.
- Liaise with Cambridge representatives for curriculum updates, teacher training, and policy changes.
Parental & Community Engagement:
- Communicate Cambridge curriculum objectives and student progress to parents.
- Organize orientation programs, parent-teacher meetings, and career counseling sessions.
- Address parental concerns regarding the Cambridge pathway and subject choices.
Administrative & Coordination Responsibilities:
- Manage exam registrations, invigilation schedules, and student entries for Cambridge assessments.
- Coordinate with school management for resource allocation, digital tools, and library materials.
- Supervise the Cambridge learning environment, ensuring the availability of required academic resources.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
Educational Qualification: Master's or Bachelor's Degree in Education (B.Ed/M.Ed) or a related subject. Cambridge training certifications preferred.
Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in teaching or coordinating Cambridge curriculum (IGCSE/A-Level).
Skills:
- Strong understanding of Cambridge International curriculum and assessment criteria.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Experience in teacher training, curriculum development, and student counseling.
- Proficiency in digital learning tools, assessment platforms, and student tracking systems.
- Ability to handle Cambridge examinations, registrations, and compliance documentation.
Preferred Qualifications:
✔ Certification in Cambridge Professional Development Courses (PDQs).
✔ Experience in Cambridge school accreditation and audits.
✔ Strong knowledge of international education trends and curriculum planning.
